This hotel would be a great stay if you were in town for a hockey tournament. We were there in business. It is right next to a large arena that had a very large tournament when we were staying there. Kids were outside screaming and running up and down the halls. I guess that's the vibe for a tournament. The room we stayed in was outdated (room 332). On the reviews we noted that most rooms are updated, but ours was not. Everything was clean though. The bed (King size) was very firm and a bit difficult to sleep on. The gym is way too small for the size of the hotel - especially next to a sports complex with folks who clearly are of he mind set to keep up on their fitness! I was up at 5:30 a.m. when the gym opened to snag the treadmill - but several people came in and huffed that I was on it and left during the hour I was running. It's a dark gym in a small space with only 3 machines. No water cooler to fill up your bottle. This needs to be addressed. The breakfast included was quite nice. Lots of options. Healthy options like yogurt and oatmeal and filling options like eggs, meats, pancakes, pastries and toast. The coffee was very good and there were juice options too. We had a difficult time dealing with the front desk staff, who did nothing to help us cancel our second night when our flight was cancelled forcing us to leave early. We did book with a third party, but that third party said it was up to the hotel. Not impressed when our flight cancellation was out of our control. We would not choose to stay here again - but it's likely ideal for those needing to be next door for the arena.

We stayed here on the weekend to celebrate my daughter's 13th birthday slumber party, and it turned out to be a fantastic celebration getaway! Our queen suite with a kitchenette was perfect for the occasion -- spacious, comfy and spotlessly clean. Kudos to the housekeeping team! The girls had a blast swimming (as the pool wasn't busy at all) and then enjoyed hanging out in their room (playing games, giggling, watching a movie, snacking). Complimentary breakfast the next morning was also excellent. Everyone found something they loved. We also really appreciate being able to arrange a late check-out, which made our morning feel more relaxed than rushed. A special thank you to Ms. Vivian for the friendly, warm service and amazing job. The friendly staff, warm attitude and clean rooms made the whole stay feel easy and special. Happy kids + Grateful parents = Five stars! Highly recommended.

Dear Holiday Inn Express Riverport Richmond Team, I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Riverport Richmond with a crew of six, and I wanted to personally thank you for the outstanding attention and hospitality we received. Your team consistently goes above and beyond, and this hotel has become one of my favorite places to stay. It truly feels like a home away from home, which is not easy to achieve when traveling with a crew. Because of that, it’s also a place I confidently recommend to friends and colleagues. My wife and I had a very enjoyable stay in this hotel. The staff were very courteous and pleasant. The Breakfast Manager Juvy was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Her staff were also very nice. I've stayed in so many different Holiday Inn hotels and here is where I've had my breakfast experience. The front desk lady was also very nice and helpful. To Juvy and her staff "Thank you very much"
