We arrived to check in around 8:30 pm. Check in was simple complete with an upgrade. Got to our room only to find our door lock snapped when we went to lock the door. Kids were eager to get to pool so they got ready while I addressed the door issue. They immediately without hesitation gave us the next room. Kids made it to the pool to find it dated and a centipede floating. The sauna was nice and the hot tub temps great. The fitness room is minimal and equipment needs servicing and repair. Bathroom cabinet in disrepair as the wood seems to be degrading from the moisture. Definitely in need of some attention as hygiene may become an issue. Overall an ok place to stay for the night to rise for an early basketball tournament nearby. Price was a bit higher than what I would pay if I had seen the property first.

We stayed here about two years ago and while it wasn’t perfect, it was decent enough for a short, affordable stay, which is why we chose to return. Unfortunately, this visit was significantly worse. The pool area was disgusting. There was hair and used bandages on the floor. The pool and hot tub had visible cracks and wear, and the patio chairs were extremely rusty underneath, sharp enough that someone could easily cut their foot. The hallways were just as concerning. The carpets were heavily stained with what looked like bleach spots, and the entire area smelled like sewage or an outhouse. It made walking to and from our room very unpleasant. Inside our room, there was visible mould in the shower grout. Cleanliness clearly is not being properly maintained. The most disturbing part of our stay was the noise from the room next to us. There were extremely loud sexual encounters involving multiple people, along with yelling and banging on the walls. It felt disruptive, inappropriate, and unsafe, especially with my children present. Thankfully my husband was with us. To make matters worse, I was bitten by something during our stay and now have two large, red, itchy bites about two inches wide that have continued to worsen. The only positive was the respectful front desk staff. We will not be returning

The room was clean and the price was good but we did have some issues with the outlets in the room being loose so one of our phones didn't charge overnight. We let the front desk know and they were very understanding and tried to help but unfortunately there was nothing they could do. The location was perfect though. I'd definitely stay here again but I'd bring a portable charger just in case.

On December 6th till the 7th we stayed at this property. My husband booked two rooms online with his points well in advance. We arrived and checked in and NOTHING was owed except the deposit ($500) for the two rooms. The next morning when we went to check out we were told by the man behind the desk that we owed a “ROOM FEE” $40 for each room. Meaning $80 would be taken off our deposit when it was returned. My husband said absolutely not and asked for a manager. The man behind the desk refused to go get one. After much back and forth the man behind the desk said he would wave the “fee”. We have stayed on this property before and so have friends. We have never encountered this “ROOM FEE” at any Comfort Inn property all over Ontario and down the East Coast. The reason being is because it’s a SCAM! I contacted Comfort Inn and they responded with “ This is a “misunderstanding “ at the property level and is NOT the standard practice of Choice Hotels.” They are looking into this matter internally to make sure the staff is fully aware of the CORRECT process so this doesn’t occur again. So BE AWARE staying at this hotel. There is at least one scammer working there that will attempt to charge you a NON EXISTENT FEE! In my opinion whom ever was working behind the desk the morning of December 7, 2025 should be investigated and fired before he does this again.
