I had an outstanding stay at the Andaz Ottawa! From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. The level of care and attention to detail truly set this hotel apart. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore everything Ottawa has to offer. My room was stunning! What a view. Every interaction with the team made me feel genuinely valued as a guest. Exceptional client service all around. Highly recommend the Andaz Ottawa for anyone looking for a top‑tier hotel experience. I’ll definitely be returning!

The receptionist lady is very pleasant. The room is big enough and clean.( they missed cleaning one of the coffee cup though). The bed is really comfortable. The location is really good. Currently there is construction going on near the hotel, so if you book from discounted website, you may get the room closer to the construction site though. But since I went out during day time and come back at night to sleep only, so it wasn't a problem for me. They have body lotion, shower gel, shampoo etc but they don't have toothpaste. Overall, it was a nice stay.

Overpriced, Poor Workmanship, and Uninformed Staff. My recent stay at the Hyatt Andaz Ottawa was profoundly disappointing. Marketed as a luxury hotel, the experience felt anything but refined or premium. This was meant to be a very special first trip for my boyfriend and me, and instead of feeling cared for and welcomed, we left feeling frustrated and let down. To begin, while the hotel was clean, the overall operation felt poorly managed. We prepaid for breakfast, yet not a single staff member could provide a clear or consistent answer as to where or how we were supposed to access it. We asked multiple employees and received vague or conflicting information. The following morning, we went down again seeking clarification, only to be told it was “too late” for breakfast — and that no refund would be issued. The lack of accountability or basic communication was extremely frustrating and, frankly, unacceptable. Throughout our stay, the staff appeared unfamiliar with fundamental details about the hotel’s amenities, policies, and even the surrounding area. Simple inquiries about nearby grocery stores or places to purchase drinks could not be answered. For a hotel in a central location, this level of unpreparedness is concerning. The room itself was also underwhelming and poorly executed. The bathroom had no fan and offered minimal privacy due to the toilet layout. Sections of the ceiling had square cut-outs that appeared to have been removed and awkwardly pushed back into place. The light switches were disorganized and inconsistent. Overall, the space felt as though it had been hastily renovated using inexpensive materials, with little attention to detail — as if the work had been rushed or completed by someone without proper expertise. What compounded the disappointment was what felt like a pattern of hidden or opportunistic charges. The hotel reserves the right to charge $75 for shampoo, conditioner, or similar items if bottles are removed from the room — a policy that was not clearly communicated. Combined with unclear breakfast terms and inflated drink pricing, the experience felt less about hospitality and more about extracting additional fees wherever possible. This trip was meant to be meaningful and memorable for us. Instead, we left feeling let down by a hotel that seems disorganized, poorly run, and significantly overpriced for the quality of service and accommodations provided. Cleanliness alone cannot compensate for a lack of professionalism, transparency, and care.

Hard to believe this is a four star hotel. - the room's carpets felt gross and not clean - housekeeping didn't arrive until we called front desk and arrived around 5pm - Friday nights have super loud music across the street (didn't bother us, but may bother you) - we were told the valet takes ~15 mins to get your car - it was closer to 45 min - 2/3 elevators working Not worth what we paid.
