We had a medical appointment in Hamilton in February 2026 and due to the weather we decided to travel the night before and we stayed at the Sandman Hotel. The hotel was easily accessible from QEW. Our room was clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. Plus we got a good rate, despite our last minute decision to travel to Hamilton. The hotel staff was very pleasant. We had an opportunity to meet and speak with the Manager, George (last name unknown), the following morning. George was extremely helpful, very pleasant and was most accommodating to our particular needs. We thank him very much for his concern, helpfulness and thoughtfulness. Without question we would stay again at the Sandman Hotel in Hamilton.

I booked in advance for an 11 night stay from February 16 to 26th inclusive, as I was working in the local area. Staff were helpful and nice. I liked the full kitchen and cook for myself, but it would be nice to have an oven. The PROBLEM I have is the fact my credit card was charged the full amount of my 11 day stay on the first day I was there. I have never had this done before. Most hotels charge for the room when you check out. I will be contacting the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU about this!

We spend a night at the hotel and had a great stay. The hotel is clean, rooms are comfortable and we enjoyed having both Moxies and Denny’s next to the hotel. We ate at both and were pleased with both food quality and service. The staff was excellent - service is really what sets this hotel apart from all the other similar ones we have been to - everyone we interacted with was polite, really helpful and super accommodating. The room for improvement we noticed were two points - the difficult to operate faucets in the shower (which a hotel staff member quickly helped us with) and the lack of full size mirror outside the bathroom. These were minor but will help with overall experience. All in all, we had a great time and recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay.

Highly recommend! The staff there is kind, courteous, and attentive. Shout out to Ethan who worked the front desk on Dec 30th at 4pm! He offered us an upgrade to our room and late check out, free of charge because we celebrated our 20th anniversary that evening. Talk about great customer service and paying attention to your guests! The room was clean and spacious and everything was in good working order. The hotel is close to the highway and they have 2 restaurants on site (we did not dine) and a Walmart too. Will definitely be going back. If you want a quiet hotel that is clean with fantastic customer service, please consider this location!
