I stayed at this hotel from January 16 to January 18 as the organizer of a group reservation totaling more than $7,500 and several rooms. The occasion was particularly important for us, as we were celebrating my mother’s 60th birthday and wanted the event to be perfect for her and for all of our guests. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations. We encountered multiple issues with room cleanliness, poor window insulation and very limited soundproofing, with noise clearly coming from the hallway and neighbouring rooms, making it difficult for many of our guests to rest. More concerning were the repeated fire alarm activations during the night — around 11:00 PM on the first evening and again at approximately 2:00 AM on the second. These incidents caused significant stress and disruption for the entire group and placed me in a very uncomfortable and embarrassing position as the person responsible for organizing such an important family event. Following the stay, I contacted customer service to review the stay credit and the compensation offered. While I appreciate the time taken to respond and the goodwill points provided, the resolution does not reflect the scale of the booking, the number of rooms reserved, or the impact these issues had on what was meant to be a very special celebration. I had chosen this property with the expectation of a smooth, memorable and high-quality experience for my mother’s 60th birthday. Unfortunately, both the stay itself and the follow-up left me disappointed. I hope this feedback will be taken into consideration to improve the guest experience and the handling of important group events in the future.

We had a fantastic family trip here in early October. The autumn colors were stunning and the surroundings were beautiful. Our room was huge and very cozy—perfect for a family. We also loved the outdoor thermal pool; it was so warm and relaxing. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Quebec!

A Perfect Getaway – We Can’t Wait to Come Back! From the moment we arrived, everything about our stay exceeded expectations. We booked the penthouse suite, and it was absolutely stunning—spacious, impeccably clean, and stocked with every convenience we could possibly need. The attention to detail was clear throughout the entire resort. The food at the restaurant was phenomenal, and the atmosphere was perfect. Whether it was breakfast, a cozy dinner, or late-night drinks, everything was spot-on. We also enjoyed the spa, especially the outdoor hot tub, which was the perfect way to relax after a day of exploring. It was serene, clean, and beautifully maintained. A huge thank you to Danielle, who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Her warmth and professionalism truly made a difference. I would also like to thank Emile at the bar for his hard work and determination! They ran out of the maple coffee liqueur that I love (Cabot trail) but still managed to make a delicious shot to pair with my iced coffee with what they had in stock. Every single staff member greeted us as we passed by, with a hello, goodmorning or “hope you have a great day”. Which we loved ! Our only regret? Not booking more nights. We’ll definitely be back—already planning our return for ski season. Highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for comfort and exceptional service.

Don’t let the outside appearance fool you, this hotel is completely renovated and modern inside. We got the 2 bedroom condo and really enjoyed our stay. Room is very new and clean. They gave a lot of towels, we had a washing machine and dryer in our room. Nice little kitchen and also balcony. They have two nice warm pool outside which we really enjoyed as well. Breakfast was not included so be prepared to pay, it was about $30 per person. Parking was really convenient too, not too far of a walk. Only thing was to our surprise, our room is quite far from the elevator of the main lobby so we had to drag our luggage till the end, this could also be because the condominium rooms are much further than the regular rooms. Overall such an amazing stay, truly a 4 star hotel. Always love Marriott hotels and this is one location I’ll add to my list to come back when I visit Quebec City.
