If your booking with this hotel please mind that your just paying for the location. I had to pay an extra 36 dollars for a spot in the parking garage in the tiniest spot known to mankind on top of the 370 I was paying for the 1 bed room. The shower was not clean and there was stains on the bedding God forbid I took a UVI light to it I would’ve been even more disappointed In the positive side it is a very safe location and the staff was pretty nice.

My partner and I had a lovely stay for two nights. Clean, quiet and welcoming space. Check in was easy and the room was basic but spotless with everything we needed. The price was reasonable and included a simple breakfast which was served in the cafeteria downstairs by a pleasant and capable cook. The food was good and the perfect amount to get us started for the day. Overall it is a great place far from the grit of downtown, but with good transit. UBC is a beautiful spot to walk around and enjoy the gardens and views of the water and mountains. Would definitely recommend for people on a budget.

The pros are that the location was perfect for why I was staying in Vancouver. The room was clean. The cons, breakfast is about the same quality as hospital food. For what it was, a dorm room on campus with a private bathroom, it was overpriced. That being said this by far the most reasonable place to stay in Vancouver, so it's more a Vancouver problem, then the Carney Centre. Finally, I guess I prefer a proper front desk with people. The whole kiosk, key less thing worked fine but I was there an hour or so before 3pm and it would have been nice to check in a bit early, I know the room was ready. It was perfectly fine, it just wasn't great.

It's on the older side, but very clean, and also includes breakfast, but I was unable to have it because my course was sooner than the 7h30 start. PROS: -LOCATION! - if you have anything in UBC, for a short stay, it can't get much better, unless you're friends with a student/staff who lives there -Convenient: ease to check in, it's all automated, you can do it at any time, I got there at 11pm, and had absolutely no issues, checked out with my phone. Also had shower caps, soap, shampoo, dryer -Clean -quiet -Staff is very responsive and kind CONS: -It's a little on the older side, and i feels more like a dorm than a hotel, it's not a posh experience, but it fit the purpose
