This is a superb hotel. Rooms are modern, spotless, quiet. Room temperature can be adjusted, (though it seems the max it reaches in the winter is 21 deg?). Nespresso coffee provided in the room. Gym is well equipped for a hotel, and the rooftop pool has great views of the river on the south side and the city on the north side. I had dinner and brunch at the hotel restaurant, both of which were spectacular. Prices reflect the high quality food and service. Also have to give a shout out to whoever was playing the background music in the evening, the soft pop/rock of the 2000s was awesome and nostalgic. Morning restaurant music was a relaxed vibe too. Thanks to the staff for a wonderful and relaxed stay. I will be back!

The Hyatt Centric in Old Montreal offers a comfortable stay with some clear strengths, depending on what you are looking for in a location. The hotel is a bit out of the way and further from the main hustle and bustle of the area. If you enjoy a quieter setting, this can be a plus. Personally, especially during the winter months, I prefer being closer to the action, as the extra walking in the cold can be less appealing. The amenities are a definite highlight. The gym is well equipped and easy to access, and the rooftop pool is a nice feature. That said, given how cold Montreal winters can be, the pool temperature could have been warmer to make it more enjoyable during that season. Breakfast was a standout. The buffet, priced at 26 dollars, felt like a steal. There were many options available, everything was fresh, and the food was genuinely delicious. It was a great way to start the day and added solid value to the stay. The rooms were fine overall, clean and functional, but not especially memorable. The industrial style may appeal to some, though it felt a bit stark for my taste. The biggest drawback was the mattress, which was too firm for my liking and affected overall comfort. Overall, the Hyatt Centric Old Montreal is a good option if you appreciate modern amenities, a quieter location, and an excellent breakfast. While it may not be my first choice in winter due to its distance from the main areas and the firm bedding, it still offers a solid and enjoyable stay.

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There were two dogs a few doors down that were barking but thankfully stopped so we could sleep. The best part of this hotel was the rooftop pool! The water was perfectly warm and on a beautiful but very cold February night, we absolutely loved it. We would come back just for the pool!

Wow! Our new favourite place to stay in Montreal. ❤️ Staff were friendly, the room was excellent, self-parking with in/out privileges was perfect for us, walkability to Old Montreal was superb, and checking in/out was effortless. Comfy bed, nice towels, lots of outlets/USB, thoughtful motion-activated lighting. The only non-ideal thing was the mini fridge being shut in an alarmingly hot cabinet. The rooftop pool (see pic) looked amazing but we didn't have time to attempt a luxuriously warm winter swim on this visit. Next time!
