Clean and quiet but missing conveniences. Welcoming, professional staff. Nice view from 12th floor. We were travelling with a small dog and had no issues there as there's a small park area across the hotel. The studio room was tidy but as we were staying for several days and had the usual luggage and gear we quickly realized that there really isn't any place to put stuff. No hooks by the door for coats. No dresser, only a small table. A tiny closet in the bedroom. No real counter in the bathroom for toiletries so you have to do everything camping style, that got annoying rather quickly. The bathroom affords zero privacy, the door doesn't really close. There is no fan and the vent actually vents out into the bedroom (?!) I was surprised that Escad has a four star rating, it's lacking too many conveniences and the euro style furnishings and finishes are too cheap and uncomfortable in my opinion. The hotel could already use a refresh.

I've stayed here twice for business as it's conveniently located to my company. As someone who doesn't speak French, I am happy to report the staff was very polite and there was always someone available who spoke English. Overall this is a nice place to stay with a few personal issues I encountered...but aren't deal breakers. The overall vibe is modern and trendy. There are a few handicap accessible parking spots and electric charging spots directly in front of the lobby which I used. There is free underground parking as well in the large parking garage. Unfortunately I wasn't able to figure it out....since I don't speak or read in French and all the signage in the garage is in French. The hotel is in a large shopping area with many restaurants; all use the parking garage. There were plenty of spots but I wasn't able to determine 'where' the hotel access was. I need the handicap access and hoped to find a spot in the garage as I was visiting during the winter and had to deal with snow and ice by parking in front outside. The rooms are a unique layout with several amenities. There is an office chair and desk. The desk has wheels and can be moved if you want to be close/far from the window or if you prefer sitting on the built in wooden bench. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the black out shades gave me the atmosphere I needed to sleep. In both rooms I stayed in, there was a small loveseat which I found very uncomfortable. That piece of furniture is very low to the ground and with mobility issues it was difficult to sit down on and stand up. The room was 95% clean; on my second visit I found a discarded nose strip on the shampoo in the shower. Huge plus is there are full sized toiletries in the room. I highly recommend the breakfast buffet in the hotel restaurant. A great variety of fresh fruit, baked goods and cooked items. Notes for the hotel: -Do Not Disturb: I stayed for a week and didn't require daily housekeeping. I used my Do Not Disturb sign; yet every day the front desk reached out to me via text asking if I needed service. On day 3 I finally stopped by the desk and asked them to please stop contacting me and that I don't need service unless the sign has been removed from my door. -Texts from the hotel - It may be a new program, at my second stay I was asked for my cell phone number at the time of check in. I thought that was just a standard contact request; however I quickly learned the hotel uses the information to send out unsolicited messages. The cleaning texts noted above as well as regular texts about events happening in the hotel bar/restaurant. I suggest guests are asked at check in if they WANT to receive texts from the hotel. For me the texts were disrupting as I was there for work and would be in the office and have to respond that I don't need housekeeping. Other than that, this is a nice place, especially since the location has everything within walking distance. There are a variety of restaurants, shopping, a movie theater, etc.

We spent a few nights here to attend a wake and funeral for my husband's aunt. They made a difficult time much more comfortable and enjoyable while we stayed. I believe we had the upgrated or delux room with a city view. The view from our room was incredible, it was VERY clean, and every comfort or need was thought of. We had tons of hot water, towels, coffee, microwave, fridge, utensils and plates! I was going to suggest the only thing missing was a full length mirror, but then I found it on the back of the bathroom door when closed. The room darking curtains were great and there was a blow dryer and iron and places to hang cloths. The location was perfect as we could walk to breakfast and other restaurants. There were plenty of shops and a Walmart next door. Also free parking across street in parking garage. We would highly recommend this hotel and we thank the staff for making our stay as great as it could be under the circumstances. If we ever need to stay in this area again we will absolutely stay here!

I recently stayed two nights and it was absolutely amazing! The room and view were stunning! I loved the large window, see through wall in the shower, lounging couch, and comfortable bed. The mini fridge didn't work well unfortunately, but i didnt use it. You can hear noise in the hall, but it didnt disturb my stay personally. I loved that you had to use your room card for electricity. It was unique and smart. I had the pulled pork with dessert for dinner, and tried both the american and European breakfast options. All of it was delicious! There's a cute shop in the lobby, which I bought some souvenirs. I didnt go to the restaurant, but it seemed popular. I wish there was a different entrance as it got a little hectic in the lobby from the crowd, but no big deal! Checkin, checkout, room service, and valet had no issues. There is an auto tip charge to your room, which is nice to not worry about having cash. The staff was the absolute best! Everyone was so nice that I interacted with, especially the front desk and the ones who brought the food to the room. The location is situated in a beautiful shopping area. I was a solo traveling female in my 30s and only spoke English, and I had no problems communicating and I felt very safe. I will definitely be back! Thank you for the wonderful holiday stay! :)
