Needed a room for only 5 hours but they couldnt accomodate us with a room, only if we pay the one night for 400$ we get a room. No problem we understood. So we ended up just waiting at their sofas by their lobby area in the airport. Then a manager comes up to us saying " this is a 4 star hotel and we cant have you waiting out here" said manager.

Partner and I asked front desk for accommodation only for a half day, I recognize that they charge nightly and not hourly(most hotels outside of the airport accommodate) but $400+ a night?? Okay… so we just hung out by their lobby where the seating area was and basically got kicked out for being too poor for their 4-star hotel. A man literally came up and said “We are a 4-star hotel, we can’t have you waiting here.” If I can give 0 stars I will. If anyone wants to book a hotel, there are hotels outside of the airport within walking distance. Go there instead. The man in Marriott wearing a black suit roaming around is very judgmental, basically kicked us out for looking poor😂

We are just finishing an overnight stay at the Marriott at YUL. It is very conveniently attached to the terminal and you don’t have to go outside to get your the hotel. The check in lobby is on the fourth floor. Irene at the front desk was very nice and helpful as we arrived late in the evening after a long day of traveling. Sonia in the executive lounge was fantastic. When you arrive at the lounge you are greeted with a smile and the Sonia provides an orientation of the breakfast choices. The breakfast items were regularly restocked as needed. Try the breakfast pizza. I was having trouble navigating the coffee machine and Sonia came over to show me how to make the perfect caramel latte. My wife loved the coffee that were in the insulated containers. Our room was large, nice and clean. Very little aircraft noise and we had a nice comfortable sleep. We would definitely stay here again if our flight timing necessitated. Great service all around.

I stay here a few times a month , it’s a great hotel in a great location , with friendly staff. However beware !! They are tearing down the parking lot across the road and work on it starts at 4:30 am. It was not a great wake up call early this morning. I’m not impressed that the check in staff was aware of this and are booking people into these rooms, or at the very least , warning about the noise.
