Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Toronto International Airport

We've stayed at the Sheraton numerous times while flying in and out of Toronto. We've stayed in a regular king room and a club king room. The club rooms are larger, there are more amenities in the bathroom and the quality of the towels are better than in the regular rooms. The club room allows you to access the club lounge for breakfast, evening hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. The food in the lounge is pretty good. I have to say that this is one of the quietest hotels I have ever stayed at. Considering it's at an airport and there are many rooms down long hallways I was not disturbed by any sounds. We ate at the &More by Sheraton for breakfast for the first time on our latest trip and the food was hot and delicious but the standout was the service provided by the three (two men and one woman) mature servers. They were welcoming, friendly and efficient. They each engaged us in great conversation that was not forced and I could tell they enjoyed interacting with diners. Something that is not easily found these days. Kudos to them! My one issue with the hotel is that I think it is overpriced but I guess you pay for the convenience of staying right at the airport and not having to deal with shuttles and outside weather.

Conviently located in the airport making it ideal when you have a long layover. Signs everywhere to remind everyone to be quiet as people are sleeping. What steps this place up a notch is the staff at the lounge. Just a great bunch of people that made our kids laugh. The dinnee buffet was better than expected. We will gladly stay here again when passing through.

The service here is outstanding, particularly Jin in the Club Lounge who deserves a special mention for his genuine friendliness and witty banter. We absolutely loved it. Our club room on level 6 was spotlessly clean and very quiet, and the entire vibe of the lobby area is really nice. It’s spacious but not echoey, warm but not crowded, and bright without glare. We were only here one night before a flight out of terminal 3, but this would be a great place to stay if you’re visiting Toronto as the city centre is an easy fast train ride away. I’ll be recommending this hotel for sure, particularly the Club rooms. Thanks for a memorable and fabulous stay.

Nephew stayed overnight from Japan and the hotel and restaurant staff were just amazing; accommodating and friendly. Food was delicious (salmon, bisque, and fruit dessert) and the rooms modern and well appointed. Parking a little tricky to find and would be great if they offered guest rates. However, we’re particularly thankful and appreciative that the hotel agreed to hold a special gift package from Japan that my nephew forgot to give us. Where it unfortunately went off the rails was my final interaction with Chiba at the front desk today when I came to pick it up. My spouse called the manager in advance to tell them that I was coming. So it came as a surprise when I showed up and the front desk member became standoffish and aggressively questioned why I was there. While he has every right to verify who I am, there’s a professional and polite way to do so and it was obvious this wasn’t going to be the case. So to avoid further issue, I simply asked him to speak with the manager, and while he seemed annoyed, he then returned with the package. Overall, it didn’t ruin our overall experience but communication and this member’s attitude need work.
