Bad experience at this hotel. They changed the price upon our arrival, and there was a serious lack of transparency regarding their service charges. The receptionist who assisted us with the final invoice at the end of our stay was very rude and unprofessional. We will not be returning to this hotel. The front desk staff was extremely disrespectful. They refused to help us or offer any solutions and instead used threats and raised their voice at us. This behavior was highly unprofessional. Their responses to the issue were very rude, constantly excusing themselves by saying it was not their fault and that “things are done differently in Quebec.” The situation escalated to the point where they shouted at us in front of other guests, claiming it was not their problem if the staff from the previous day had given us incorrect or unclear information regarding the hotel parking wich is not including with any room price. Update review: Of course you are going to justify your front desk agent — honestly, I expected nothing less. This review is not really for the hotel itself, because of course you will justify any misconduct toward us. It is for future guests who are considering or planning to stay at this hotel. The only thing we asked for was transparency regarding your prices and charges from the beginning. Yes, the agent removed the parking fee, but before that she not only raised her voice, she also explicitly told us that it was not her fault if another agent had told us something different beforehand, that it was not her problem because we were supposed to already know your policies. And as I mentioned before, the winning phrase was: “Things are done differently in Quebec,” as if we were foreigners and had not lived in this province our entire lives. We have stayed in countless hotels around Quebec, and this is the first time we have been treated with such arrogance and rudeness. Your agent DID raise her voice, DID threaten us, and DID use phrases like “it’s not my fault” and “it’s not my problem,” which was not only rude but also extremely unprofessional — not only on her part as a front desk agent, but as a representative of the hotel, because she reflects the establishment as a whole. In the end, she handed us the invoice and did not address us again. If that is the kind of person you hire and the type of values you project, then at least with this review I can help others be aware of it. I certainly do not appreciate your response. I stand by everything I said, and no, we do not accept your “apologies,” as it is clear where they are coming from. We hope you can work on the atmosphere and attitude some of your front desk agents display, because being treated that way in a hotel is truly unpleasant.

I stayed at this hotel for one night. The location is excellent — right in the heart of the city, making it very convenient to get around. I booked the room for CAD 163, excluding parking, which costs around CAD 35, and breakfast was not included. The front desk staff were friendly and provided good service. The interior design of the hotel looks modern and pleasant, and there is a small indoor swimming pool for guests to enjoy. However, upon entering my room, I noticed a strong musty smell from the carpet, which was quite unpleasant. Apart from that, the room itself was spacious and clean. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, though there’s room for improvement in room freshness.

Overall, a great stay in this convenient part of town. Easy walk to non-touristy, local restaurants and bar. Great accommodation for our 2 medium sized dogs at a busy time of year. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only tip I’d give is to skip the $30 outdoor hotel parking and park at 380 Rue de Carbonne instead. Only $18 per night in a heated carpark made all the difference for our stay, and was conveniently located across the street from the hotel.

I had an absolutely terrible stay here and I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. I stayed for one night (February 16–17) and the room was freezing cold. I went to the front desk twice and was told someone would come to fix the heating — no one showed up. Eventually, someone brought a tiny electric heater, which stopped working within five minutes. The room stayed cold the entire night. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and felt old and worn out. On top of that, they put me in a first-floor room with a bad location, which felt unpleasant and poorly placed. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. Poor service, no proper heating in winter, uncomfortable bed, and zero follow-through from staff. Save your money and book somewhere else.
