Room stayed in: 1018, 2 nights (~$168/night, 3 nights). I had a great experience, the room was very clean and also quite cute with wood trim, wood floors and a big proper bathtub, not that I used it. The room comes with an armoir, mini fridge, fake fire place with heater, and dimmable lights. I always check the mattress at hotels, this one was pristine, and I slept well. Because my room faced the rear of the hotel, my stay was very quiet. There is a Métro (grocery) store a few blocks away for budget minded people such as myself. The front desk held my luggage when I checked out since I had extra time, but it is held in the lobby for anyone to see, so be mindful. I chose not to leave my backpack to be safe. In the end everything worked out. Great stay, would come back again.

The hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Good location?? Yes which is why I chose it despite the reviews. The entire lobby entrance is dank, dark, and dirty. The stairs are super narrow and there is no elevator. Despite falling up the stairs, we made it. The linens are thread bare and need to be replaced. They literally smell like the individuals body oil that slept on it before us. The towels are frayed at the edge and smell like mildew as you dry yourself off. There is an over used pleather chair in the bathroom that is peeling. We didn’t stay in the room much because we didn’t want to be in the dirty, smelling room. Corners are full of dirt and dust. If you’re looking for a place to lay your head, it meets that need. Otherwise move on…

The entrance is dirty, it's incredibly noisy, and the sofa bed I slept on is awful—it's bumpy all over and the bed creaks a lot. The beds are poorly made. The good thing is the bathrooms, which are very functional and nice.

Be aware, grande allée is very, very noisy. Get a room on the opposite side of the building if you want to sleep there. If you're the one partying until 3 am then any room will be fine. Other than that, it's a decent hotel. Not the most luxurious but it does the trick. Well located if you don't mind waking. There's ample parking within 2 minutes of waking. No elevator either.
