Overall a good 2 day stay. The room was clean and we had no issue with the temperature, it was never too warm or too cold. The continental breakfast was a little lacking, from what I saw they didn't have a protein source but the pastries and bagels were good. I asked a server in the restaurant for a spoon outside of breakfast service time and sharply told to ask the front desk next time. This hotel has good proximity to shopping as well which was nice.

Needed a place for the week while finishing a contract for work. For the price point and location it's a solid option for a stay. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, AC and heat worked, and they offer a pool/fitness center. Only issue was the continental breakfast was mainly carbs not many options unless you upgrade your continental breakfast for a premium option. Then you get your protein and a balanced meal. All in all, a nice place to stay.

This was a good spot to stay while trying to be near a family member at Sunnybrook Hospital. The rooms are a bit dated but comfortable and each time I have stayed here, it has been quiet. Getting to the hospital for an early appointment or returning to the hotel after 8pm only took 20 minutes. But during the day the travel time can be up to an hour. There are a few different routes, so it was easy to adjust route as needed. The hotel is close to restaurants and a grocery store that are open late and the mini-fridge and microwave come in handy. You might want to consider bringing a bowl and cutlery if it would be helpful. Having a quiet and comfy place to stay helped make a difficult few days better.

I would like to sincerely thank Mr. Eddie, the Duty Manager at Monte Carlo Inn & Suites – Downtown Markham for his exceptional kindness and professionalism. I had booked a room at the hotel, but unfortunately my plans changed unexpectedly just 10 minutes after booking, and I had to leave. Although the hotel policy was not in my favor, Mr. Eddie went above and beyond to assist me. He refused to charge me the full amount and handled the situation with understanding, fairness, and genuine compassion. In today’s world, it’s not always common to see this level of customer care. His professionalism and humanity truly stood out, and I felt it was important to leave this review to recognize his outstanding service. Thank you again, Mr. Eddie, for your kindness and integrity. It is greatly appreciated.
