The hotel overall had everything you needed with well equipped kitchenettes. We travelled with a toddler and although the hotel had advised the rooms would have blackout conditions, upon arrival we realized that was definitely not the case. You could still read a book with all the lights turned off and the curtains drawn. The pack and play provided was significantly stained and also did not come with a proper mattress. Otherwise we had a good stay and we enjoyed being based in UBC during our stay in Vancouver

Clean, modern and comfortable suites, highly recommended. King bed and sofa bed, can request cleaning everyday. There’s a living room and a kitchen, quite spacious. No security but there’s access card to go to your building and parkade. Can be a bit noisy if your suite is near to the laundry room. Lots of food in the area (not cheap despite their proximity to campus). Few beaches nearby - we went to Wreck beach for sunset which was lovely.

My husband & I stayed at UBC's West Coast Suites July 13-21, 2023. The suite was as advertised; as well, it was pretty quiet in the room, had a comfortable bed, and a good shower. The kitchen, though basic, was sufficient for our needs (simple meals). Also, the air conditioning worked and it too was quiet. Housekeeping was great; very accommodating of our schedule and normally cleaned late in the day. The building's laundry area down the hall was clean with two washers and two dryers, was rarely busy, and it cost $2.50CAN to wash/dry a load. Access to nearby/good public transit was a plus. Unlike our room, the West Coast Suites' reception's lobby area, located in another building, was tired-looking and in need of renovation.

Our stay was fantastic! Sooooo much better than a 3-star hotel! The rooms are amazing, mattresses are so comfortable. The rooms are extremely quiet and spacious with excellent aircon and wifi. The kitchens are fully stocked. The daily cleaning is second to none. I would stay here again over any hotel in Vancouver. Can’t find a fault!
