After a disappointing experience at another hotel we originally planned to stay at, we found Holiday Inn Montreal Centreville Downtown last minute — and it turned out to be such a blessing! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and taken care of. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, truly felt like a home away from home. The lobby is beautiful and makes a great first impression. What really stood out to me was that they texted us during our stay to make sure everything was going well. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and want you to have a great experience. The location is perfect — walking distance to Old Montréal, the underground mall, and so many great spots nearby. I will absolutely be staying here again the next time I’m in Montreal. Highly recommend!

Great hotel overall, nice view of the Palais de Congres de Montreal and great walking distance to everything we wanted to do on our 3 day stay in Montreal. Chinatown is nice with good food options nearby and the parking garage was safe as well. The Koi fish were a nice touch. Room was clean and staff were friendly. Pierre in the front desk was extremely nice and even told us to be careful before we left back to Boston by car as the snow started to fall heavily and they did not salt the roads before we left. Very happy with our stay and will come back here on my next trip to Montreal.

Parking is a concern. We came back to our hotel underground parking and it was completely full. Found out it is also open to the public. Had to park down the street for 60 overnight. The buffet was ok, but they were having a hard time keeping up with the food. It wasn’t even that busy. The staff were nice. Rooms were a little worn, but the lobby was nice.

Holiday Inn Centre-Ville is conveniently located in the back of Montreal's Chinatown, minutes' walk to downtown and steps from Place d'Armes metro station. My room is not very big, but is well maintained, clean and comfortable. It also has a wonderful view toward the world-famous Notre-Dame Basilica which is one block away. The staff is very courtious and quick to answer to our needs. My room doesn't have a walk-in cloths cabinet, not exactly good for winter travel. Interestingly, the TV is not a "smart" TV - not that it matters. The real drawback of this hotel is mediocre sound isolation. Not that the room is noisy. But when the next door talks loudly, you hear a faint rumble. Some of onsite third party facilities could use better maintenance. The ATM at street level was dysfunctional throughout our stay. The laundry room has a poster telling users to use an app and pay by credit card. But the machines are not even connected. This Holiday Inn always features its mini indoor Chinese garden in posters. But Chinatown is its real attraction. While you are in Chinatown, be sure to check out dragon's beard candy that you cannot find anywhere else in the continent. Next to a metro station is another real advantage. If you don't have to, do not bring or rent car. Montreal downtown is pedestrian friendly, not to say the underground city. To go out, metro and other public transportation are extremely convenient and comfortable. Why pay for the high parking fees? (If you are willing to download Bixi app, cycling is another very good option. It has a very dense station network.) In our week-long stay, we only rented car once for day-use to get to some hard to reach corners such as la Maison Rose (Pink House).
