I had a great stay at the Saintlo Jail Hostel in Ottawa and would happily recommend it. The staff were genuinely wonderful, fresh, friendly, and very helpful. Check-in and check-out were super fast and smooth. You could really tell that the staff enjoyed being there. I had a long chat with Chris late at night (past midnight!), and he was incredibly polite and welcoming. Another staff member helped me find a USB cable when I needed one, which I really appreciated. Overall, a unique experience with great staff, excellent cleanliness, and an unbeatable location. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for my first time while visiting Ottawa. The service was great, rooms were clean. We stayed in a 8 bed female dorm. Clean and well taken care of. Highly recommend taking the free jail tour. Full of information and cool facts about when it was a jail.

It was a real jail, so don't expect comfort and fancy stuffs. The location it's very convient, everything is walking distance. The staff have a lot of good recommendations for food and for visit. Great for the experience to stay in a prison! Perfect for solo travelers or in group of friends! You can parking there for 20 dollars extra, which is a fair fare. Breakfast included!

Absolutely amazing stay! It's perfectly located, historical and simply just a whole lot of fun! I stayed on the ninth floor and if you know anything about the place you'll know that's a workout at they kept the original stairs from when this was a jail. The bunks were exceptionally clean, the beds were comfortable and from what I've seen lights off seems to be at around 11? 12? The breakfast is what you'd expect but for 33$ à night (that's what I paid) I will not complain! The tour was my favourite part! It's just spooky enough to be fun! Next time im in Ottawa I will be staying again
