I am writing this review to share my extremely disappointing experience with the owner of Motel Casino, which caused us a great deal of stress, inconvenience, and frustration. What should have been a simple stay turned into a very unpleasant situation due to poor communication, lack of professionalism, and rude behavior. Before starting our journey, we spoke directly with the owner and clearly discussed our arrival time. She confirmed and agreed to provide us a room at our desired time. Based on her confirmation, we made travel arrangements and began our journey with confidence that everything was settled. However, while we were already on the way, she suddenly called us and refused to give us the room, without any valid explanation. This last-minute cancellation was shocking and unacceptable. When travelers are already en route, backing out of a confirmed agreement is extremely irresponsible. We were left stranded, stressed, and forced to look for alternative accommodation at the last moment, which is not easy—especially when traveling with limited options. What made the situation even worse was the owner’s attitude. Instead of apologizing or offering a solution, she was very rude, arrogant, and dismissive during the call. She showed no concern for the inconvenience she caused and spoke in an unprofessional and disrespectful manner. There was no attempt to help, reschedule, or provide any alternative support. Hospitality is not just about providing rooms—it’s about treating guests with basic respect, honesty, and professionalism. Unfortunately, this experience showed a complete lack of all three. Agreeing to something and then refusing it at the last moment reflects very poorly on how this business is managed. As customers, we expect clear communication and reliability. Plans are made based on confirmations, and breaking those commitments without care shows disregard for guests’ time and effort. Even if there was an issue, it could have been handled politely and professionally, but instead, we were met with arrogance and rude behavior. I strongly feel that other travelers should be aware of this experience before booking. If you value respectful communication, reliability, and basic courtesy, you may want to reconsider staying here. A motel owner should understand that trust is crucial in the hospitality industry, and unfortunately, that trust was completely broken in our case. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I hope the management reflects on how they treat their guests in the future.

We contacted the motel in advance and clearly discussed our arrival time. The owner explicitly agreed to give us the room at our desired time, and based on that confirmation, we planned our trip accordingly. Everything seemed settled, and there was no indication of any problem at that point. However, while we were already on the way, the owner suddenly called us and said she would not give us the room anymore. This last-minute refusal left us shocked and stressed, especially since we were traveling and had no backup accommodation arranged. Changing plans while already on the road is extremely inconvenient and unnecessary, especially when the motel had already agreed to the booking. What made the situation even worse was the owner’s attitude. Instead of being apologetic or trying to offer a solution, she was very rude, arrogant, and dismissive on the phone. There was no professionalism, no courtesy, and no concern for the trouble she caused us. We were spoken to in a way that made us feel disrespected and unwelcome. A motel owner should understand that guests rely on confirmed bookings, and last-minute cancellations without valid reasons are unacceptable. Poor communication and an unprofessional attitude completely ruined our experience. I would strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this motel. Even if you receive confirmation, there is no guarantee it will be honored. Customer service matters, and unfortunately, Motel Casino failed badly in that regard.

Not very friendly owners! Rather rude. Probably won't be back. Lost a key signed for 20$ turns out she charged me 30!! For a 2 dollar key. No microwaves in rooms none of the TV remotes worked. Ignorant owners altogether

Room was large enough for my dad and I who had travelled to Ottawa from New Hampshire for a funeral. Room was clean with everything we needed. The staff were very accommodating when we asked for a ground level room with 2 beds (I have mobility issues). The man at the front desk was so nice when I told him the coffee was too weak. He made us another pot. It was perfect! The owner asked us if everything was ok with our room and it was. He had the housekeeper (amazing woman that I chatted with for a few minutes who has worked for them for 10 years) check our room so we could get our deposit issued immediately. Only issue I personally had was walking that night to a restaurant down the street. When dad and I were headed back, it was dark and had a sketchy feeling to that street. Otherwise, really pleasant stay. All of these negative reviews are bogus. I am sure they are the people that caused an issue and are just upset about being tossed out.
