Keeping in mind that I'm rating this as a an airport hotel for a short stay, convenience and food options are high in my list. The airport shuttle pickup service is decent, it seems to come every half an hour (there's a courtesy phone at the shuttle pickup area to call the hotel). The rooms are comfortable (a bit dated but renovations are in progress). The beds in particular were nice and soft, had a good sleep. There are lots of food options in the area with a big asian supermarket right across the road with ready made meals and fast food places on the other side of the road. There is a Japanese ramen restaurant around the block which is amazing, highly recommend! Breakfast starts early at the hotel (5:30am to 9:30am) and was quite decent. There was a make your own waffle station, cereals, oatmeal, eggs, toast, baggles, juice, coffee. You can book the shuttle back to the airport as well, so quite convenient.

Enjoyed our few days stay at Days Inn. It is a good location not far from the airport and Richmond area. Easy to get to near by shops or food places. Not too many hotel in these areas including free parking. This is a bonus for us. And they have daily breakfast provided as well. Not fancy but adequate to start off the morning. Staff are friendly and helpful. They do have shuttle services to/from airport but need to contact them in advance for booking. Room is a bit dated and would be nice to have some renovations to keep things up-to-date. But clean room and happy with their housekeeping service. We went out one day with the do not disturb sign hanging by the door. They leave note for us that they did not go in and clean the room. This very nice and respectful. Overall, a good choice in my opinion and will consider coming back. If you drive, do aware there is a stop sign near the hotel that you may need to cross a busy two ways traffic intersection. In busy time, it is very difficult to pass two directions if you need to go straight. May need to consider go around the back side to avoid that stop sign intersection.

❗️Extremely Disappointing Service Experience❗️ (Other than the issue involving one staff member, I found the room condition, breakfast quality, and location to be very satisfactory.) I had one of the worst service experiences during my stay, and it significantly damaged my overall impression of my trip to Canada. I stayed at this hotel from January 8 to January 10, 2025, for two nights and three days. On the final day, January 10, I reserved the airport pickup service for 1:00 PM. During this process, a polite male staff member kindly allowed a late checkout, so I did not need to use the luggage storage service. This consideration allowed me to enjoy my last day in Canada comfortably, and I returned to the hotel with a very positive feeling. Unfortunately, that positive experience ended instantly due to the behavior of one staff member named ❗️❗️Carolyn❗️❗️ Upon returning, I was abruptly told that I had to pay for a late checkout. I attempted to calmly explain the situation and the arrangement made the previous day, but meaningful communication was not possible. The staff member was dismissive and rude, and insisted on payment without listening to any explanation. I believe that, at a minimum, a staff member should listen to a guest before demanding additional charges. Despite the fact that the late checkout had been granted when we booked the airport pickup service, a lack of internal communication among staff resulted in an unpleasant and stressful experience for the guest. No apology was offered by the staff member involved. Instead, another employee nearby apologized on her behalf. Even other guests who witnessed the situation expressed that the handling of the matter was inappropriate. This was, in my opinion, extremely unprofessional behavior and represents very poor customer service. I strongly believe that additional training and service education are necessary. Based on this experience, this staff member does not seem suited for a customer-facing service role. This incident turned what had been a good hotel stay into a very negative final memory of my trip. I hope management takes this feedback seriously to prevent other guests from experiencing the same situation.

You have to throw away your expectations and just judge this place on “how does it fare as just an overnight place?” It’s great! You get a nice big room, looks relatively clean and has a working AC! Plus shuttle service to the airport. There’s no additional ammenities besides towels and shampoo/conditioner. Bed and pillow are comfortable enough.
