I am modifying my previous comment for which I gave 4 stars. This hotel is a scam. We payed 100$ of deposit and were supposed to get it back and when I sent a message to the hotel to ask about the deposit they told me that I didn’t pay for more than the price of the room. I sent an email back to the hotel with proof from my bank showing that I had indeed payed 100$ more than the price of the room and the person who replied to my mail said that they had to forward the mail to the directors of the hotel who are supposed to check the facts and give me my deposit back. I’m waiting 48 more hours and will go there in person as I will be back to Quebec soon. All in all, I don’t recommend at all — Previous review— We liked our stay (staying so far from the center of the city was a choice for us because we wanted quiet). Although the hotel is a bit old (the elevator is ancient and you have to hold the button until it arrives at your floor), the rooms are quite big and comfortable. However, I don’t think there is a 24h staff service at the front desk because at some point the fire alarm went on around midnight and there was nobody there to help. We had to wait for the firefighters to arrive and turn it off (after 15 min of incessant noise and cold). And the cleaning staff only cleans once you leave. We stayed 4 nights and at some point there was no more toilet paper left. It would have been nice to have some without having to go to the front desk every time especially when it is in another building than our room.

The hotel was nice in general. Check in was quick and easy. I was in building A. I got a key for the building door, and a code for my room. Both the key and the code worked fine right away. Check in desk is only available between 07:00 and 22:00; if you arrive outside that time, you might have a different experience. The room was big and clean. My room was close to the street, and it was noisy sometimes.

Stayed for 2 nights and it was a pleasant time! This hotel has some interesting quirks. Pros: - Close to downtown Québec - Carpet-free room (at least mine was) - Spacious room with a slight view of the city - Shower in the bathroom - In-room microwave and fridge - 2 TVs and lots of lights Interesting quirks: - You receive a key to the building and code to your room. Ensure that you lock your room as you come and go as the door does not lock itself - The elevator is manually driven: need to hold the button to call and direct it to the desired floor These are just quirks and not complaints. Parking: Free

Stayed 2 nights, nice room, clean, big, had all we needed. The spa - massage - was good. Highly recommended for good value!
