Horrible Experience — Avoid at All Costs At first glance, the rent here may look cheap — but trust me, you’ll end up paying far more than you would for a luxury apartment elsewhere. Let’s start with the nightmare of bed bugs. You might get lucky for a few months, but once winter comes, it’s your turn. I had to pay nearly $1,000 out of pocket because management refused to cover any costs — around $800 for at least two pest control treatments and $200 more to wash and dry every piece of clothing in one night. Then there are the cockroaches. Even after professional pest control, you’ll still find them occasionally crawling in your kitchen cabinets and around your dishes. It becomes a part of daily life here unless you have very strong nerves. The heating system is another disaster — weak, inefficient, and turned on far too late in the season. During the cold months (down to -25°C), I had to rely on electric heaters just to survive, which added about $120/month to my hydro bill for four months. Both my spouse and I got sick twice because the heating was delayed, which also meant paying for medication and missing work. On top of that, the hallways and elevators constantly smell bad because cleaning is not done regularly. There are many other issues I could list, but to keep it short, the worst part was when I asked to leave early due to all these problems — management said I was required to stay for at least a year! I was paying $1,250/month, but with all the hidden expenses, it was easily $1,550+ for an apartment with no in-unit laundry, no dishwasher, and no proper cooling system. Now I’m renting a modern 2-year-old building for $1,800/month, with all amenities included — and I couldn’t be happier. So yes, the rent here might look low at first, but you’ll quickly realize it’s one of the biggest mistakes you can make.

Extremely clean and maintained exercise equipment. Most of the equipment is brand new or in good shape. There are yoga mats and everything someone would need to workout.

Very disrespectful. I wasn’t even done moving out my dead fathers stuff and they came into the apartment and started their work. I came back to my stuff being touched and in garbage bags ready to be thrown out. Their excuse was since I booked the elevator last week they assumed I was done even when I had a bunch of items still in the apartment. They called me 2 weeks ago to ask when I will be handing in the keys. I told them March 31. They went in before without permission. They clearly didn’t care and wanted to flip the apartment. I still had the right to the apartment and had the keys. They don’t care and wouldn’t let me speak to a manager.

I actually quite enjoyed my time living there. For the cost and space it is a good deal. Maintenance is good and cleaning staff is friendly but administration is often rude and extremely unprofessional. I understand having to deal with many tenants can be a headache but when sending an email to a tenant who has never caused any trouble and only ever contacted to ensure rules were being followed during the moving out process I was surprised to see emails from someone from the administration office with such passive and rude responses such as “ how should we know that”. I called the day before my move out to confirm the time that i had booked the elevator and the lady on the phone was short rude and told me to call 10 minutes before I needed it. I even repeated the question and made sure she knew what I was mentioning. I was moving on a Saturday, the office is closed Saturday, so when I called, no one picked up. Don’t know if it is the same person doing the emails as well but Im leaving this place with a negative experience.
