We stayed at Banff Gate Mountain Resort for two nights and three days, and it was an excellent experience overall. The scenery was absolutely beautiful—even in winter. Our cabin (#36) had both sunset and sunrise views, which made the stay even more special. The drive from Calgary was easy, just about an hour. Even though the cabins are wooden, the heating system worked perfectly. The thermostat was fully adjustable, and the cabin stayed warm and comfortable the whole time. The fireplace was great as well. The Wi-Fi was decent and good enough for the whole family to use for regular browsing. It wasn’t strong enough for YouTube or Netflix, though, and the TVs inside the cabin weren’t smart TVs, so streaming or casting wasn’t possible. But each floor having its own TV was still a nice touch. The bedrooms were spacious, clean, and very cozy. The cabin’s BBQ worked better than I expected—we even made Iranian kebabs in the freezing weather, and they turned out great. Overall, I definitely recommend this place. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was peaceful, and even though we didn’t get a chance to try the other amenities like the hot tub, we still had an amazing stay. I’m already looking forward to coming back in the summer to enjoy it even more. Five stars from us.

This hotel exceeded all expectations! The location is absolutely stunning — surrounded by beautiful nature with breathtaking views in every direction. Waking up to such scenery was truly unforgettable. The accommodation itself is very comfortable and feels just like home. Everything is thoughtfully designed, clean, cozy, and well-equipped, which made our stay relaxing and stress-free. The spa is simply amazing — modern, peaceful, and perfectly maintained. It was the highlight of our trip and the ideal place to unwind and recharge. Overall, this is a perfect place for anyone looking for comfort, beautiful views, and top-level relaxation. Highly recommended, and we would definitely love to come back🥰

We've stayed at this complex three times already. It's a great location, with a great concept and layout. The complex looks like a mini-village. Our first visit was in the fall and we had a good impression. But our last visit in January of this year wasn't very comfortable. The chalets themselves have long been in need of renovation: the windows and doors, the kitchen, and the furniture in the living room all require restoration. We wanted to air out the room on the ground floor, but the window wouldn't stay open. Do you have to hold it open by hand? I remember there was a piece of wood there last fall to hold it open, but that's not the same level. The heating is very noisy. While it's comfortable on the first floor, it's extremely hot on the second. None of the "hot"/"cold" indicators on the taps, either in the chalet itself or in the shower by the pool, are accurate; they're all mixed up. The bed linen is clean and pleasant, and there are plenty of towels, but you won't be offered a fresh one, even if you're staying for a week. The pillows are incredibly hard and high; it's impossible to sleep on them; your neck starts to hurt after just 5 minutes. We had to remove the pillows and put down a blanket instead! The pool is a huge plus, but its hours are very limited, and they wouldn't let me in if I arrived half an hour before closing. Although a 10-minute swim and then leaving on time would be enough for me. Used, empty shower gel bottles are constantly strewn across the floor in the showers and changing rooms, and no one cleans them up... We also can't figure out how to choose the location of the stall I want to book; this feature is missing. This is our third time staying here, and we're always put opposite the trash bins. We were a large group [in 3 chalets] and asked to be put next to each other, but we find it impossible to get bored, even though we saw that many of the copper-colored cabins were empty. We would really like you to change the location of the trash bins; they ruin the view and stink. You have enough space to hide them somewhere behind the complex, but not right in the center in front of the cabins... And unfortunately, the Wi-Fi is very bad; it practically doesn't work.

The cabin and location were really good. I expected the cabins to be a little more updated but they were very clean and cozy. Price was reasonable given the location. There are a lot of cabins there but the overall feel was very quiet and calm. View of the mountains was great. Check in and out was very easy and accommodating despite us being quite late the first night. Will definitely be back and would certainly recommend. Access to Canmore and Banff, without having to be in the noise and commotion Of the towns. The last kilometre or two is a gravel road with washboard that rattles your bones, we drove so slowly and it still really shook us up. It would be nice if they got that regraded.
