We had a wonderful time at the Hotel du Vieux-Québec. This was our second stay at HVQ and we continue to be impressed with the accomodations and the staff. The folks at the front desk were pleasant, informative, and always willing to assist. They are truly an attribute to the hotel. We also love the library/game room. So relaxing and well thought out. The hotel location is perfect. We parked our car and walked everywhere through the old city. Perfect proximity to the Christmas Market, too! The breakfast baskets are so much fun anda perfect way to start our day. Honestly, we couldn't think of staying at a different hotel when visiting Quebec City. Both visits (2018 & 2025) were exceptional and met all of our expectations. We appreciate you all!

Great location, clean, beautiful rooms, friendly staff, tasty continental breakfast. Rose in reception was absolutely lovely. She gave great recommendations and made us a wonderful map which led to a fantastic day out. Do note that although this hotel is fully renovated and beautiful, it is an older building and walls are thin (so thin you can hear the person next door snoring) and lots of stomping. So keep that in mind if you're a light sleeper. Definitely recommend.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel close to everything. We loved our room, it was exceptionally clean, comfy bed, coffee machine and mini fridge. Few minutes walk to Petit Champlain and Frontenac. They offer a breakfast basket delivered to your door with juice, cheese, yogurt, pastry and croissant which was a really nice option. The front desk staff, especially Pierrerob ( sorry if spelling is wrong) are wonderful… warm and welcoming and full of local info and suggestions. We will be returning for our fourth stay in a few weeks. This is our go-to hotel in Quebec City!

My recent stay at Hotel du Vieux-Quebec was truly perfect and felt like waking up in a Hallmark movie every single day. If you are looking for a romantic, cozy, and ideally located hotel in Old Quebec City, look no further! The room itself was delightful—pleasant, warm, comfortable, and equipped with absolutely everything we could possibly need. The entire staff was beyond courteous and attentive. From our smooth check-in with Pierre to the invaluable assistance we received from Rose throughout our stay, their service was world-class. Rose helped us with suggestions for areas to explore, places to eat, and truly went above and beyond. My boyfriend proposed on this trip, and when I mentioned needing a vase for my bouquet, Rose immediately took care of it. When we returned from exploring, my flowers were in a vase, accompanied by a thoughtful, handwritten card from the staff congratulating us on our engagement. This level of personalized care made our special trip even more memorable. The location is ideal for exploring Old Quebec in any direction. And there is nothing more romantic than the delicious picnic basket breakfast, which is delivered right to your door on a hook early each morning. It's the perfect way to start the day.
