Visited via Airbnb. Very comfy and clean and easy to get to and from. Good Aircon and provision of a light breakfast

The rooms themselves are well-equipped, ensuring a comfortable stay, and the cleanliness adds to the overall positive experience. The accommodation provides a sense of privacy and tranquility, making it an ideal retreat. The comfort level is noteworthy, contributing to a relaxing stay. Booked via AirBnB one of the private rooms with bathroom included. No complaints: clean, efficient check in and out. Only two things I’d change: there weee no outlets by the bed, to charge your phone with, and the lip of the topmost step of the stairs felt a bit dangerous. But otherwise, nothing that would preclude me from booking with them again.

The aesthetic of the place is very unique and the reviews and price on the Airbnb app are compelling. However the lack of communication with the host and cleanliness of the room are a let down. The house is beautiful and is situated in an ideal location to be able to visit Byward Market by foot or journey to other parts of Ottawa. However when I arrived there was an unclean smell coming from the bathroom. I contacted the host straight away but received no response to my issue for the entirety of my stay. I did receive generic messages that were not in response to my messages. This was a huge turn off that could've been easily avoided. I left a review on the Airbnb app as prompted to, however later found out that hosts can choose whether or not to post a review, therefore can leave off negative reviews from their profile. Just some food for thought for next time when choosing an Airbnb. :)
