Disappointing experience – misleading info and poor cleanliness We booked a pet-friendly room without a cancellation option, specifically choosing this hotel for its pool facilities, paying over $300 per night. Unfortunately, we were never informed that we would be placed in the Annex building, which no longer has pool access. Apparently, this policy changed on January 2nd, and our stay was Jan 3rd–4th. We were extremely frustrated to pay a premium price for amenities we couldn't use. The service at the front desk only added to our frustration: The "Family Pass" issue: The receptionist offered us a discounted "family pass" for a local recreation center as compensation. However, when we arrived there, it turned out to be a pass for only one adult. Despite us double-checking with the lady at the desk twice and her insisting it was for a family, the pass clearly stated "Good for one adult." We had to pay extra out of pocket again. Room Condition: The room was not up to standard for the price. The floors were incredibly sticky and dirty, and some of the glassware was visibly unwashed. We feel like we wasted our money, as we could have booked much cheaper accommodation elsewhere if pool access wasn't included. I do not recommend this hotel.

We stayed here while in town for a kids' hockey tournament and had a great experience overall. The Pros: Value: The group rate for the tournament was a fantastic value compared to other spots in Canmore. Especially during peak ski season. Location: You can’t beat the location—it’s central and made getting to the rink and local restaurants incredibly easy. The Amenities: The pool area was a massive hit with the kids; they had a blast on the waterslide, which is a huge plus for burning off extra energy between games. The Suite: We loved having the extra space and a full kitchen. A highlight was definitely the steam shower in our suite! It even has a ‘fun button’ although I couldn't tell you what it does. The Cons: Decor: The rooms are definitely feeling a little dated and could use a modern refresh. That being said, for the price and the convenience, we would definitely stay here again for future tournaments. Great spot for families!

This place is an absolute joke. I’m not sure if the experience is different for owned units being rented out as Airbnb, but I would not recommend the hotel at all. First of all, you have to hunt for a parking spot as many are reserved for owned suites. We got into the room and there is quite literally no sound proofing. It sounds like there are 15 kids above us playing floor hockey, and I can hear every single thing that the people in the room across from us are saying. The TV remotes barely work. The shower is SO small, I’d imagine anyone over 6 ft would struggle in there. Adding to that, there is a small little device toward the bottom of the shower that is literally covered in black gunk (mold?). The bed is extremely loud and creaky. The pool area would be super fun for kids, but it definitely is not enjoyable for adults without children. The pool was packed with screaming kids running around. The hot tub has an indoor and outdoor section but unfortunately as we went during New Years, it was pretty much full 24/7. We stayed in the king suite in the main building. Thankfully we got a huge deal when booking this room, otherwise I would likely be seeking a refund. I would highly recommend saving your money and booking elsewhere, as calling this place a 4 star hotel is laughable.

I was put in the Annex building... Didn't even know there was an annex builiding. Having a room in the annex doesn't give you access to the pool apparently... Was not told that at the desk when I checked in. I found a sign in the Annex building elevator. Parking was ridiculous. Very very small stalls and the lines were very faint. The rooms heater woke me up multiple times whenever it turned on. I swear I turned it off in the middle of the night and it still turned on somehow and woke me up... I should have unplugged it. The mini fridge in the room was lopsided so my stuff went everywhere when I opened the door. There were guards on the window pulls. This made it incredibly hard to open the blinds so I could enjoy the view! Only one coffee pod for the coffee machine in the morning. Chipped soap dish in the bathroom. The door exit device on the second floor stairwell is broken and slams whenever ut tries to close. I think I woke up the entire 2nd floor when I went for ice last night. It's the fine details here that bother me the most. It screams cheap and it wouldn't take very much to fix these things.
