We had a lovely stay at Samesun! The check-in was easy, the staff were super nice and helpful, and the room was clean. The heat in the room worked well. The bar and breakfast were a really nice addition (especially the cheap happy hour bar prices). The location was great - easy walking distance to restaurants, bars, clubs, and shops, and very close to a metro stop to get to the rest of the city. A heads up that if you book through Hostelworld, you'll have to pay a fee to them (that's equal to the Canada and USA taxes), and then also pay the full reservation price to Samesun when you arrive. This was a bit confusing, but the person at the desk at Samesun explained it very thoroughly when we asked about it. Over all, it was great and we would definitely come back!

Excellent location, next to nightlife and train/bus station. Kind staff. I wish breakfast had oatmeal but that’s not a complaint Things to note: pack light, happy hour here is good, the dorm rooms also have curtains which is nice Would stay here again.

Best economic short term stay. The dorm rooms smelled foul due to the wet socks in winter. Location wise this is Very great and accessible via public transport. Management can do something about the foul smell is the shared dorm rooms

I spent a few days at the hostel on holiday and it was an overall positive experience. No bed bugs sign, which I would consider the most relevant pro. The place is close to the Berry Metro station, and thus well connected around the city. Common areas a bit small, but friendly staff and good breakfast included in the stay. The shared room was good, a bit of a noisy AC but nothing which made sleeping impossible. On the cons side, the cleanliness of the shared bathroom was really poor, black moldy stains in the shower and the room generally ended up smelling of pee at the end of the day. The fridge hosted stuff that had been there when I came and was still there when I left, with all the guests being changed in the meantime tho. I would suggest a deeper cleaning policy for the rooms to make the experience thoroughly enjoyable.
